Santa Cruz Yoga

Santa Cruz Yoga Detail
Nestled into the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains of Southern California, the Land of Medicine Buddha is at once peaceful and transformative. Established and maintained by Tibetan Buddhists, it’s the perfect environment in which to nourish mind, body and spirit--and to feed your creative urges!
Retreat participants will enjoy yoga and meditation classes, writing sessions, a photography workshop/walk, gentle hikes among the ancient redwoods, delicious organic meals, and comfortable lodging. As a special treat, a resident Tibetan Buddhist monk will speak with us about compassion. You’ll also have plenty of free time during which you can schedule massages, explore your surroundings, and/or collaborate on your writing projects with a supportive community of friends.
Welcome! Whatever your age, condition or background, there is a yoga practice for you. So long as you tune in inside and pay attention to how you are feeling while doing yoga, this practice will give you tremendous health benefits, including a more positive outlook on life and a growing sense of ease in your daily life.
The best way to get started with yoga is to drop into a regular class and begin exploring under the guidance of one of our teachers. You can also come to one of our free Introduction to Yoga workshops, which we offer the first weekend of every month.
Each of our classes offers a complete practice. You can drop in to any class. Try to arrive at least five minutes early to sign-in and get settled.
If it is your first time to Santa Cruz Yoga, please try to arrive a little earlier so you can meet your teacher and discuss any injuries or special conditions before class starts.
